"The volume of cargo transported through Azerbaijan is increasing year by year. I believe that this number may be several times higher."
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, voiced these views in an interview with the Chinese media corporation "China Media Group".
"We are actively working in this direction, as well as to establish that infrastructure connection with our Chinese partners and neighbors," said the head of state, noting that there should be a single policy regarding administrative connection and tariffs.
President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that today Azerbaijan's transport infrastructure already meets high international standards.
