In the next meeting with entrepreneurs held at the Baku General Customs Department, the work done in the direction of strengthening customs-business cooperation, creating fertile conditions for business representatives in the customs system, as well as simplifying customs procedures and expanding digital solutions was discussed.
Head of the Baku General Customs Department, Elmir Ramazanov, informed about the recent improvements and innovations in the customs system, and spoke about the importance of new projects to be implemented in the future for business representatives.
It was reported that according to the new project, which was implemented on a pilot basis in August of this year, the declarations of entrepreneurs operating on the basis of the principle of "voluntary compliance" will be checked within 30 minutes and the speedy access of vehicles will be ensured.
60 business subjects are currently benefiting from the project, which was used by 5 entrepreneurs at the initial stage.
By the end of August, up to 400 companies that have established their activities in accordance with the law are planned to use the new project.
It was noted that transparency, citizen and entrepreneur satisfaction are the main strategic goals of customs authorities. For this purpose, important steps are being taken in the direction of further simplifying customs clearance, improving the process of filling out the customs declaration, minimizing citizen-official contact due to the application of digital solutions, which creates additional opportunities for entrepreneurs in terms of saving time and money.
At the end, suggestions and opinions of business representatives were heard, and their questions were answered in detail.
