A public discussion on "Customs reforms: challenges and opportunities" was organized

A public discussion on "Customs reforms: challenges and opportunities" was organized with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SBA), the State Customs Committee, Public Council under SBA and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan.

Representatives of relevant state institutions, business associations and entrepreneurs, as well as the Association of Azerbaijan Customs Broker Service Companies (AGBA) took part in the event organized within the framework of state-entrepreneur cooperation.

Chairman of the Public Council under KOBIA, Farhad Garashov, said that the event was the first public discussion organized after the formation of the council with its 3rd composition. It was noted that in 2023, with the organization of the Public Council under KOBIA, such preparations will be continued in order to study the difficulties faced by business entities and to strengthen public-private cooperation in this field.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Acting Chairman, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Sahin Bagirov emphasized the importance of such public discussions within the framework of customs-business cooperation and spoke about the work carried out in the customs system, and the prompt resolution of the issues of entrepreneurs related to customs. He pointed out that the necessary steps have been taken, and at the same time, the opinions and suggestions of entrepreneurs are being treated with sensitivity in increasing the efficiency of customs work.

At the event, the proposals of entrepreneurs and the difficulties they faced were heard, and the questions of entrepreneurs were answered by representatives of the relevant state institutions.
